Ongoing Clinical Studies

HUMIGEN is conducting clinical studies, designed to define and develop novel biomarkers. These are not treatment studies. Their purpose is to develop new diagnostic and prognostic tools to aid physician management of their patients, and to better understand the pathological mechanisms of these conditions. There is no requirement to modify agreed treatment plans in any way.

Currently, we are recruiting patients for studies in:

Inflammatory Bowel Disease and related syndromes, such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome and acute or chronic Colitis,

Asthma and related conditions, such as hay-fever and acute or chronic rhinitis,

Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) and related conditions, such as Sjögren’s Syndrome and Rheumatoid or Psoriatic Arthritis,

First-trimester miscarriage (idiopathic miscarriage) and related conditions, such as premature labor or premature rupture of membranes,

Prostate cancer and related conditions such as benign prostate hyperplasia.

Participation involves blood donation (for all studies), and a nasal swab (for the asthma study only) or a cervicovaginal swab (for the miscarriage study only). If you are a patient, please bring these studies to the attention of your physician and ask if you are suitable to enter them. If you are a physician, please contact us by email at Info@Humigen.org and we can discuss the addition of your practice to our protocols.
